My parent’s large sectional from the 50s. Now that they’ve passed and left us the house we have it….all the furniture is mid century, way cool.

My favorite piece of furniture is a slip covered sofa from Bernhardt’s expression line called “Freeport”. Comfortable, but not too soft similar to theses benches in the giveaway.

I’ve always wanted a vintage sofa, with wooden feet. I’ve seen several of them, but have never been able to get one.

Classic wing chair (fabric covered not leather) that was in my parent’s house when I was young. I miss that chair… It was big and comfortable, when I sat in it, it felt like I was being wrapped in the chair… hard to explain, but it was comforting.

My favorite piece of furniture was a custom made round bed. It was my mom and dads. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. PLUS, it had a red velvet bed spread on it. VERY LAS VEGAS. This was in the EIGHTY’S…. My momma has ALWAYS been WAY AHEAD OF HER TIME. SHE IS SOOOO AWESOME. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

Large deep L shaped sofa. Looked great in the family room…. where we lived. Two people could have slept on it in comfort. Matching pillows. Worn out and gone now. No more family room, live in a new apt. and need items that would fit. Have only one used chair. Sigh. Do I need these benches or what!

My all time favorite piece of furniture was my king size bed – maybe because our bedroom had a wall of windows overlooking the lake, and the room was spacious, calm and beautiful.

Mahogany high and wide chest in my uncle’s house. Watched the flame of the fire flicker in its highly polished reflection. It is where he kept the good blankets, new shirts etc. Magic. My brocade sofa is second and believe it was inspired by this fine design and quality.

I love this piece of furniture. When my daughter was younger, I used to watch her play house; she used to dress up with a dress that looked like It was from that era and sit on the bench, sip her tea an spoke to her pretend friend

When I got married, at age 20 in 1980, I had a single bed and dresser that I brought from my teenage bedroom. My husband, who had lived on his own for awhile, came with all our furniture in colors of 70’s brown and orange. I hated it all and was so happy when I got to pick out and purchase my very first piece of furniture – a beautiful Louis V1 style velvet sofa and chair in my favourite color of sage green, from a fine furniture store.I loved that set for 20 years, but it unfortunately turned a strange shade of greyish rose in places, from sun damage, so I sold it for $200 and bought a new cream sofa and oversized chair, from Sears, with 6 cushions at the back and side. It was so comfortable and a more casual style, that suited my new single life. However, this set was not made nearly as well as my first one. The foam lost its support so fast, and I had to add a board under the foam and the back cushions also flatten.I wish I would have kept my old couch and chair and recovered them. At the time, I thought it made more sense to buy new, as recovering cost about the same, but, even though my style has changed, nothing beats well made furniture!

I posted for you on FB, twitter, pinterest and follow you on all. I love watching all of the design shows on TV. I’m a Libra and would have loved to be a designer as beautifying the world is a huge part of a Libran’s sensibilities.

My favorite piece of furniture was my king-sized wrap-around bed. I loved how the posts wrapped the corners of the bed. It always looked so elegant.

My favorite piece is my love seat – that my husband and I got after our honeymoon this past June. We are going to be moving out of our 1 bedroom into a 3 bedroom place and going to be needing some new furniture and I hope I win this contest.

I miss my parents old sectional sofa. It was an ugly burt orangy-red color, but the cushions were HUGE (think over sized old style jolly ranchers with the dips in the middle)! My two brothers and I were always making caves and tunnels in the living room, as they were easily 3′ square with super large body pillow size backs.

I love my Brown zebra print with leather chair. Its my only piece of updated furniture I have and I planted a dark furry large pillow with my last initial monogrammed
on the pillow in black. Together it is stunning! I am looking to draw more pieces I love into my living room and master as I can!
