A. That’s a tricky one, I think I HMD Certified myself back in the summer of 2006
Q. Describe what you do in less than 20 words
A. design for everyone
Q. What was your first job
A. I was the operator for the Matterhorn ride at Disneyland. How funny is that, I just realized I pretty much operate a roller coaster ride today, its called HMDhome.com.
Q. Tell us about your professional background, how’d you get started
A. My first albeit short lived career was selling jet engine airplane parts to European airlines when I was 18 years old. I went back to school, graduating from Parsons the New School in NYC and then worked for design giants in both NY and LA before launching my own firm in 2006.
Q. Any exciting awards or achievements you would like to share
A. I have a little badge of honor above my diploma in my office that reads “HMD brand defender”. It’s written on a yellow post-it note.
