Back in 1932 a lumber company was founded in Akron Ohio on the principle that there’s nothing more important than hard work, dedication and customer service.
With values like that still intact after 80+ years it’s no surprise the Carter Lumber Company has grown to 180 stores across 10 States.
Here at America’s Best we see values reflected differently for each of the companies we review. What we like about Carter Lumber is how each location still feels like the single hometown lumber store and not just one of larger 180 store chain.
We also found helpful friendly service built throughout the customer experience. In the store, of course. Local delivery services are offered and there’re lots of online resources like tax rebate information and calculators that can help estimate the cost of your projects.
